This is the official Metropolitan pattern chain — a solid brass jack chain, 12 inches (305mm) long, fitted with a jump ring at one end for attaching the whistle, and a traditional button hook at the other for securing to a uniform jacket. It is the correct, period-appropriate way to carry the Metropolitan Whistle, exactly as police officers have done since 1884. Shorter and more compact than the 161LT trace chain, the 161/12" is the traditional police-issue configuration. Simple, functional, and built to last.
